Healthcare Cybersecurity Webinar: Don’t Become a Headline!
2020 has brought attention to the healthcare sector like never before. The pandemic has placed immense strain on the system. Threat actors have taken advantage and launched headline-grabbing cyber attacks. Over 20 medical facilities were hit by cyber attacks in September 2020. The largest cyber attack against a medical facility in history also happened this year.
Cipher is teaming up with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) to look at how healthcare facilities can confront cyber threats. On December 16, 2020, we will host a panel discussion featuring experts in the medical field and cybersecurity. The panel will be moderated by Cipher CISO Scott Croskey and include:
- Theresa Masse, CISSP, Cyber Security Advisor, US Department of Homeland Security
- Chris Apgar, CISSP, CEO & President, Apgar & Associates.
- Keith Fricke, Partner and Principal Consultant, tw-Security
- Stephen Fitton, Former Director of Enterprise Applications, Avamere Family of Companies
Questions to Consider
The field of cybersecurity is broad. During the session, we will dive into different areas relevant to hospitals and other medical facilities. The top areas that we will look at will include:
What can hospitals do to enhance cybersecurity and prepare?
How to work with law enforcement during and after an attack?
In what situations should you purchase cyber liability insurance?
How to respond to cybersecurity incidents, such as ransomware?
Register for the event to listen to the discussion of these critical questions and more.
