KnowBe4 and Cipher Highlight Social Engineering During Cybersecurity Awareness Month

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, where the importance of staying safe online is emphasized in the media and by different organizations. Cipher is a Champion Organization for the third straight year. One of the themes for this year is “Fight the Phish”. Social engineering plays into why people fall for phishing emails. The message is “Think before you click on any suspicious emails, links, or attachments and make sure to report any suspicious emails if you can!”

The root cause of untold cyber attacks is the age-old technique of social engineering. KnowBe4 is a leading security awareness and training company. KnowBe4 Security Awareness Advocate James McQuiggan joins the Cipher Podcast to lend his expert analysis and insight. We discuss the concepts of social engineering and how cybercriminals use it to manipulate people.

Cipher is a Managed Security Service Provider that keeps organizations secure using a number of top cybersecurity technologies in our 24×7 SOC.
